Telford Road is one of the local streets named after prominent nineteenth century scientists.
First laid out in 1868, Telford Road formerly cut through to Wornington Road from Ladbroke Grove. A new 2010s-vintage park called Athlone Gardens has curtailed the street at the eastern end.
