Nevern Square is a charming garden square situated in the Earl’s Court area.

Nevern Square’s development took place in the 1880s under the guidance of builder Robert Whitaker, acting on behalf of Lord Kensington, who owned the Edwardes estate. Between 1880 and 1884, Robert Whitaker oversaw the construction of the east, north, and south sides of the square. Following Robert Whitaker’s passing in January 1885, George Whitaker continued the development by building the west side from 1885 to 1886. The architectural design was entrusted to Walter Graves.

The gardens of the square are exclusively accessible to the residents constituting the surrounding community. It is one of the rare gardens in London that welcomes dogs. Annually, the square extends its charm to the public, typically on a Saturday and Sunday, as part of the London Garden Square Open Day Weekend.
