Ovington Street is one of the widest and most imposing streets in Chelsea.

The latter part of the 19th century saw the infilling of the few remaining open sites. The appearance of Milner Street was altered by the development of Prince’s Cricket Ground in the 1880s as Lennox Gardens; the curve of the wall dividing Ovington Street houses from Lennox Gardens Mews probably reflects the curve of the cricket boundary.

Ovington Street properties are classic, elegant brick or rendered Georgian townhouses with good sized gardens - especially those on the eastern side of the street.
