Cardinal Avenue, WD6
Cardinal Avenue leads south off of Shenley Road.

Originally laid out in 1928s, the land was farmed by Whitehouse Farm which was ecclesiastically owned. It had formerly been known as Rectory Farm. Cardinal Avenue inherited a holy name as a result.

In the beginning it was a cul-de-sac off of the Village, extended south once Hillside Avenue was built and then even further south as the rest of the farmland was built upon.
