Black Raven Alley ran south from 105 Upper Thames Street down to Swan Wharf, just to the west of London Bridge.

The Old Swan pub at 7 Swan Lane was situated along Black Raven Alley with its front entrance at 7 Swan Lane - Swan Lane ran parallel to Black Raven Alley). An archway led through to the City Commercial Wharf on Old Swan Lane.

The entire area was destroyed during the first days of the Blitz in September 1940.
