East Lodge was home to the Davies family.

Mr and Mrs Tom Davies lived at East Lodge with their three daughters - Anne Askew Davies and her sisters. The family was descended from John Davies, a draper of Oswestry Shropshire, and his wife, Anne Askew Whitridge. Tom Davies was manager at Hills Chemical Works.

There was a summer house looking out over the river and extensive gardens with trees planted by the Davies sisters.

East Lodge was demolished in the early years of the twentieth century with its site later used by the Yacht Club.
