Clarence Street, KT1 Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen opened the street in 1828, when she was Duchess of Clarence. Grove Footpath, KT1 Grove Footpath, despite its name, is a named street on the Kingston/Surbiton border. Sopwith Way, KT2 Sopwith Way commemorates Thomas Sopwith, aviation pioneer, who set up a factory near the east end of the road and where his earliest aircraft were made.
