Portishead House is part of the Brunel Estate.
Immediately south of the railway, there was a yard bounded by Great Western Road and Westbourne Park Road. It was being built up in 1970 as the 10 acre Brunel Estate.
The first blocks were finished in 1971, containing 80 dwellings out of the 417 intended for 1500 people.
