Brunswick Square, Bloomsbury. Leafy squares characterise the Bloomsbury district of London. Brunswick Square was originally part of the recreation grounds of the Foundling Hospital.

Adeline Place was named after Adeline Marie Russell.

Adeline Russell, Duchess of Bedford (1852-1920), was the wife of George Russell, 10th Duke of Bedford, the local landowner. She was the a daughter of Lord Somers and was an advocate of penal reform.

Until 1938, the street was originally Caroline Street.
