Colindale Avenue, NW9
Colindale
Colindale Avenue predates the building of Colindale station to which it leads from the Edgware Road.

Its terraces were built between 1897 and 1914, because of a nearby hospital, laboratory and tram depot. It was called Asylum Road.

The British Museum’s newspaper repository was opened in a new building in Colindale Avenue in 1932.
