Fulham Road - a major road on London - runs from Putney Bridge through Fulham and Chelsea to Brompton Road.

Fulham Road, first mentioned in 1372 when the Bishop of London built Stamford Bridge across Counter Creek. Open fields bordered Fulham Road until the mid-18th century, when speculators began to build smart houses between the farms.

Fulham Road runs for a long way roughly parallel to King’s Road and it became fashionable in the 1960s. In 1987 Terence Conran opened a restaurant and shop in the refurbished Michelin building.
