Horsley Road is a short road lying off of Palace Road.
New Bromley to the north of Bromley was begun in the 1860s. At first it consisted largely of Palace Road only. The line of Horsley Road was established by the 1870s and may have been made up into a formal road in the 1880s or 1890s.
The origins of the unusual alignment of the road lies in its placement over an old footpath which also ran along the future Hawes Road, Rodway Road and Sherman Road.
